 Kitchen Manager/Chef

Clear Springs Ranch has an open position for a Head Chef. The Head Chef needs to be dedicated and hard-working, as well as serve as a key role in the overall high-performance of the Cafe.

Primary Responsibility-
The Head Chef at CLEAR SPRINGS RANCH is responsible for the overall operations for the kitchen and kitchen functions, including but not limited to food purchasing, receiving, preparation and maintenance of quality standards, safety, sanitation and cleanliness. The Head Chef hires staff and makes sure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities-
1. Prepares or directs preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems.
2. Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
3. Ensures availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation.
4. Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period. 
5. Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures.
6. Ensure that all products are ordered according to predetermined product specifications and received in correct unity count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with Clear Springs Ranch policies and procedures. 
7. Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards. 
8. Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques.
9. Stores food properly and safely, marking the date and item.
10. Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor.
11. Correctly prepares all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders.
12. Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved.
13. Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
14. Maintains daily production records and completes food temperature checks before service.
15. Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
16. Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen.
17. Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
18. Make staffing decisions including interviewing, evaluating, and disciplining kitchen personnel as appropriate.
19. Oversee training of new kitchen employees.
20. Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
21. Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education, Training, and Experience Required:
1. Prior experience in a related food service position.
2. Executive Experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of industry standards as related to the position of healthcare facility cook.
2. Basic knowledge of PC software programs, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
3. Written and oral communication skills; must be able to concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic
4. Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations such as when verbally or physically confronted in an aggressive manner
5. Must be able to work independently with little supervision in an unstructured environment with multiple demands
6. Must possess a reading and writing level that provides for clear expression and/or understanding of assignments related to job description.
7. Ability to represent the program well in interactions both inside and outside the facility

The Cook and dishwasher at CLEAR SPRINGS RANCH is responsible for preparing of food to be served, complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures. The cook is responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste and fraud.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities-

 

  1. Responsible for collections of accounts receivable for individuals.
  2. Responsible for medical insurance billing and claim appeals.
  3. Verifies client insurance benefits.
  4. Responsible for completing bank reconciliations.
  5. Provides backup and support with accounts payable.
  6. Double check the work of others. 
  7. Work with the Accounting Manager as directed.
  8. Carry out other responsibilities as delegated.

The Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse(LVN) at CLEAR SPRINGS RANCH is responsible for assessing clients in an inpatient drug and alcohol detoxification program and medication administration. The RN/LVN works directly with clinical staff and medical staff to ensure nursing components of the organization are appropriately coordinated.

Primary Responsibility-

The Recovery Advocate at CLEAR SPRINGS RANCH is responsible for performing advanced indirect and selected direct patient care duties in support of the clinical process in a competent manner under the direction of the program director or manager and for performing related clerical functions.

Job Requirements-

-Be in possession of, or have the ability to obtain through training, a current Fist Aid and CPR Certification.

-To transport patients:  Must possess a valid, Class C Texas driver’s license and have a driving record acceptable for coverage by Clear Springs Ranch insurance provider.

-Knowledge of industry standards as related to the position of Recovery Advocate.

-Basic knowledge of PC software programs, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.

-Written and oral communication skills; must be able to concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations and foot traffic.

-Must maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations such as when verbally or physically confronted in an aggressive manner.

-Ability to represent the program well in interactions both inside and outside the facility.

-If in recovery from addiction, must have at least two (2) years of recovery with active participation in an applicable 12-Step Program or other recovery program.

-Must be 18 years of age or older.

-Assist in creating an environment conducive to healing. This includes treating all staff and clients with respect, compassion, and empathy.

-Preferred 1 year or more experience as a Recovery Advocate, Direct Care Staff or Mental Health Technician, in the field of chemical dependency and/or behavioral health.

Addictions Counselor

Clear Springs Ranch is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, dedicated individual to join our dynamic team and be part of a fast-growing premier treatment center in the central Texas/Waco area.

Primary responsibility:  Provide direct services to adults with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.   Principal functions include completion of the bio psychosocial assessment and interpretive summary; group and individual counseling; client education and motivation enhancement; treatment planning and review; discharge planning and family counseling; presents cases for treatment team review.   Provide comprehensive, accurate, individualized, and timely clinical documentation using electronic health records for each client.  Serves as an advocate for client as well as liaison between program and referral sources.

Qualifications:

Behavioral Skills:  The Counselor is responsible for providing treatment that is culturally sensitive and reflects best practices.  It is expected that all professional staff adhere to the ethical conduct appropriate to their respective disciplines.

Reporting:  This position reports to the Clinical Director.

Required:

High school diploma or GED with current Texas licensure as applicable.

Must be able to operate Microsoft applications and office equipment

Strong organization skills; ability to prioritize work; time management; meet deadlines

Position requires work schedule flexibility to include evening hours and weekend hours
